Skin Care Routine to Try This Winter

Best skin care solutions for great skin

Introduction

Most people have designed ways to improve their facial appearance but often forget how to take care of their skin and prevent it from premature ageing. One of the best ways to keep your skin in a good condition is protecting it from premature ageing. You should take care of your internal health as much as you take care of exterior health because both equally affect the health of your skin. There are various factors that lead to skin depletion, and they include ailments, irritations and aging. Although there are many factors that contribute to skin problems, the high stress-level is the main factor that leads to aging hence facilitating the formation of wrinkles on your face and other parts of your body. Stress is closely associated with facilitating the release of hormone cortisol (a hormone responsible for degrading the collagen). Also, long periods of stress can degrade your skin’s defensive mechanism.

Natural Skin Care Routine

Most specialist advice people to use natural skin care products to take care of their skin because they have limited or no negative effects on the skin. Some cosmetic and beauty products may have dire effects such as draining your skin’s natural oils. According to specialists, some natural products serve as the best skin brighteners to brighten your skin. Natural and organic products work synergy with your skin rather than working aggressively with your skin.

Quality Free Time

If you wish to protect your skin from natural degradation as a result of ageing, it is crucial to make some changes in your lifestyle. Having quality free time is one of the best ways to naturally deal with ageing by having a better quality life. Engaging in different task throughout the day can extremely exhaust you both physically and mentally. Getting yourself extremely exhausted during the day is not harmful to your skin but it is also damaging to your overall health and wellbeing. Ensure you create some free time during the day and set some limits to avoid exhausting yourself. It is vividly clear no matter how hard you try to accomplish all your duties; it is very difficult to cope with everything perfectly.

Quality Sleep

Stress is known to interrupt highly your sleep time. Due to the routine stressful lifestyle most of you have adopted, you end up having difficulties with the quality of your sleep. Having inadequate and interrupted sleep is not harmful to your skin but your general health and wellbeing. Since the skin is the outermost layer of your body, it is very vulnerable to lack of quality and adequate sleep. Lack of quality sleep causes a great imbalance in your body hence affecting your skin negatively. Inadequate and interrupted sleep leads to dull, inflamed, sensitive skin and facial wrinkles.

Little Exercise

Engaging in routine exercise is not only beneficial for your skin but also very important for your overall well being and health. Simple physical exercises such as facial exercises help your body in eliminating accumulated toxins and stress more easily. You should choose a simple exercise that you can enjoy avoiding over pressuring yourself. Also, exercises lead to the production of feel-good hormones that are very helpful for skin’s health.

Medication

In extreme cases, it is always advisable to seek a specialist’s advice on the appropriate and right ways to protect and take care of your skin. In some cases such as the case where the skin damage is as a result of ailment or injury, seek for specialist’s advice for the right medication to use. Also, some cosmetic drugs such as the ones people use to brighten the skin should be taken under a specialist’s instructions and directions.

Healthy Dieting

A balanced diet based on organic foods is one of the best and natural ways to protect your skin from ageing and wrinkles. To ensure you boost your skin’s beauty from the inside, ensure that you have all necessary knowledge of all the nutrients needed to maintain your body in a good condition. Like any other part of the body, there are some nutrients that are vital for skin’s health and can only be obtained by taking a certain type of foods.

Meditation For Health and Harmony

Meditation is a quieting of the mind, emotions and body. It is a place of solitude that takes us out of our immediate situation and expands our consciousness into something larger. It can be spontaneous or planned, but it is always a connecting and communing with the "source" of all things.

When one meditates, certain physical and emotion changes occur. The blood pressure lowers, metabolism slows, and the hemispheres of the brain balance so that one is not dominant over the other. We gain access to the subconscious, which allow thoughts and feelings to surface and dissipate.

Meditation reduces anxieties, which in turn reduces tension and fear. As we move deeper into a meditative state, we exchange our internal discord with an unlimited sense of self and well-being.

Meditation helps us to:

Relax
Reduce stress
Improve health
Achieve a sense of well being
Bring balance to our lives
Access our potential
Become illuminated
Meditation Techniques and Exercises

Despite it's power and significance, there is nothing difficult about meditation. It is something we can all do quite naturally. In fact, we need to meditate to maintain our physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. Meditation is a state of mind more than an activity. It is an interior posture we assume while our bodies are doing something else. It can be a structured activity, done intentionally while sitting in the lotus position, or occur naturally while doing chores around the house or taking a walk in the woods. Usually, when someone says they "lost track of time"; they are talking about a time of meditation.

Read what Henry David Thoreau wrote about meditating while walking in the woods from his book, Walking, published by the Nature Company:

"I am alarmed when it happens that I have walked a mile into the woods bodily, without getting there in spirit. In my afternoon walk I would fain forget all my morning occupations and my obligations to society. But it sometimes happens that I cannot easily shake off the village. The thought of some work will run in my head, and I am not where my body is---I am out of my senses. In my walks I would fain turn to my senses. What business have I in the woods, if I am thinking of something out of the woods?"

What is it that connects you to your spirit and replenishes your soul? Are there activities that cause you to lose track of time, but during which you gain balance and perspective? Do you meditate while gardening, listening to your favorite relaxing music, creating art, or commuting to work? Do these reflective times give you balance and a sense of well-being? It is good to know what aspects of our lives are already meditative. By honoring these activities, which our lives already contain, we take the first step towards enhancing our meditative practices.

In earlier times, when life moved at a slower pace, meditation occurred naturally and easily in the many quiet times our lives contained. With the fast pace of today's society, it is harder to find time to allow us the benefits of unstructured meditation. We must set aside the time intentionally in order to maintain our health and well-being through the power of meditation.

This intentional, structured meditation can take on several forms. It can be a defined set of steps; it may involve contemplation of a concept, thought, or word; or it may focus on a physical function such as breathing. Whatever the method, there are some things that can be done to enhance the process.

Create A Space To Meditate

Create a quiet place for your meditation. It can be your favorite chair, the garden, the park or any spot where the noise level is low and distractions are kept to a minimum. Soothing music can be helpful in creating a meditative atmosphere and masking noise. Your special space will be as individual as you are. Search your heart for your healing spot and explore the possibilities. Just remember, the place is not as important as your openness to experience the peace and solitude which already resides inside of you.

Set Aside Time

Try to set a goal of meditating a certain amount of time every day. Perhaps a goal of twenty minutes a day, twice a day. Let this goal serve as your guide, but let it be a gentle form of self-discipline. Some days you may only meditate briefly or not at all. As meditation becomes a part of your life, you will find that you miss it when it is not there. Remember that it is the pleasure of the practice, not the discipline, which leads you into self-introspection and self-awareness.

Posture

The traditional posture for meditation is to sit with your head, neck, and back aligned, feet flat on the floor, and hands with palms cupped upward, indicating your openness to the process. You may choose to lie down, again keeping your body in alignment. You may select some other posture more natural and comfortable. The most important thing is your physical comfort.

Breath

The rhythm and manner of our breath is closely linked to the state of our mind, body, and emotional well-being. A number of recent scientific studies have indicated the importance of breathing techniques to help in a variety of health concerns. Among these are migraine headaches, asthma, back pain, high blood pressure, and tension.

Most of us are unaware of our breathing patterns. Try making a conscious effort to become aware of your breathing. In times of stress, slow your breathing and taking deeper breaths. It will almost always provide relief. A few deep slow breaths at the start of meditation will serve to ease you into the meditative state. Maintaining an awareness of your breathing during meditation will serve to center, calm, and maintain your meditative focus.

Thoughts

As you meditate, your thoughts will start to flow through your mind like a gentle stream. Let your thoughts float down and out through the stream and try to remain focused on your meditation. Many people will concentrate on one specific thought or image during their meditation. Whatever your focus, try to return to it when you find your mind wandering into the stream of your thoughts. Many have used a mantra or chant to increase the vibration flow through their being. Ahhhhhhh and Ohhmm are such mantras and can be used as a focal point during your meditation.

EXERCISES

Breathing

Focusing on your breathing is one of the most common methods to access the meditative state. Breathing is a deep rhythm of the body that connects us intimately with the world around us.

Close your eyes. Breathe deeply and regularly and become aware of your breath as it flows in and out of your body. Give your full attention to your breath as it comes into and flows out of your lungs. Whenever your mind wanders down your stream of thoughts, gently pull your focus back to the rising and falling of your breath.

Inhale through your nose slowly and deeply, feeling the lower chest and abdomen inflate like a balloon. Hold for five seconds. Exhale deeply, deflating the lower chest and abdomen like a balloon. Hold for five seconds. Do this three or four times, then allow your breathing to return to a normal rhythm.

You will begin to feel a change come over your entire body. Gradually you will become less aware of your breathing, but not captured in your stream of thoughts. You will become more centered inward. You will just "be there."

Listening

Sound is all around us constantly. In some instances, we have learned to ignore its very existence. I remember once, during a power outage, realizing how quiet the world had become once the power was off. When it did return, you could literally hear the buzz of electricity in the air as power was restored. On any given day, there are sounds all about us that we never hear. Learn to listen to the birds, children, and gentle whispers in the wind all around us.

Close your eyes, breathe deeply and regularly, and separate from the chatter of the stream of thoughts, which flow through your mind. As your mind quiets and you relax, become aware of the variety of sounds that surround you. There is no need to do anything but listen. Listen with your ears---listen with your heart.

Let your focus gently float among the sounds of the world. Gradually you will flow inward, toward your center. Eventually you will not hear anything.

Deep Centering

This exercise involves going deep into the very center of your being.

Close your eyes, breathe deeply and regularly, and imagine that you are going deep, deep into a well within your center. Visualize that this beautiful, deep well goes infinitely down and down. Breathe in as you descend, and absorb the entire cool, soothing, healing energy that is buried deep in this bountiful well. Breathe out as you descend, and expel all the negative thoughts and energy, which you have accumulated during your day.

Your deep inner world has its own essence, its own reality, and its own light. Feel the silence, peace, and calm; no noise can reach you here, no words, and no sound. Breathe deeply and slowly, experiencing your deepest, most serene essence in the silence of your deep well.

Connecting

This exercise provides balance and connection upward and downward. Close your eyes and breathe deeply and regularly. Visualize clean white light pouring from above down into the top of your head, down through your body, and out your feet into the center of the earth. As the light flows through you, allow it to illuminate and cleanse every cell of your body. Imagine every cell bright and alive with light.

Visualize bright clear emerald light coming up from the earth, into your feet, up your legs, up your back, out the top of your head. Allow it to swirl through every cell, healing and nourishing and connecting you intimately to the very core of the earth of which you are a part.

Now allow both lights to flow through you, white from above and green from below, and combine them in a bright blend throughout your being.

Feel the connection to the earth and the heavens, feel the calm nourishment of the energy, feel that the universe is truly your home.

Your Natural Home

Home is where the heart is, and you will find this home in your heart.

Close your eyes and breathe deeply and regularly. Imagine yourself in a beautiful natural place ¾ amongst the mountain pines, on a deserted beach, in a spring meadow---anywhere you feel surrounded by the glory of nature.

Sit or recline comfortably, feeling absolutely safe and peaceful, and feel the gentle loving strength of the earth beneath your body. Notice the fragrances and the sounds, feel the gentle breeze on your face. Let your eyes wander about, taking in the beauty of the trees, the birds, and the clouds.

Let your attention roam gently, appreciating the wonder of the environment around you. Settle into a deep appreciation that you are a part of all the glory of nature.

This place is your sanctuary, available to you anytime, through meditation or just a thought.

Mantra

Whether spoken or not, words and sounds have vibrations which can be conducive to meditation.

Close your eyes and breathe deeply and regularly. Focus on a word or phrase, which has meaning to you. It could be a mantra, a name, or a concept that has special power or significance.

Repeat the word in your mind with each exhalation. When your mind wanders, gently return it to the word as it repeats with your breath.

Healing since the dawn of history with Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera has been used in healing since the dawn of history. Ancient records show that the benefits of Aloe Vera have been known for centuries. Its therapeutic advantages and healing properties have survived more than 5,000 years.
When Alexander The Great conquered Eygpt in 332B.c.he heard of a plant with amazing wound-healing powers on the island of Somalia. Intent on healing his soldiers wounds, and denying this healer to his enemies-Alexander sent an army to seize the island and the plant, which turned out to be aloe!

Often called the ‘Natural Healer’, Aloe Vera is a plant of many surprises. It flourishes in warm and dry climates, and is in fact, a member of the Lily family. Today many ancient tales of the healing powers of Aloe are factual, rather than fanciful, as modern medicine unlocks the secrets contained within the leaves.

Healing with Aloe

Contemporary herbalists use aloe in some of the same ways the Greek physcician Dioscorides used it 2,000 years ago. Scientific evidence shows that wound healing power was first documented in the West in 1935 whan an American medical journal reported the case of a woman whose x-ray burns were successfully treated with aloe gel. Since then, there have been several studies that support the herb's ability to spur the healing of first-and-second degree burns as well as skin inflammations including eczema and thrush.

Aloe gel may not only help with wound healing but may also prevent infection in injured skin. Several studies show aloe effective against may different bacteria that can invade wounds.

The outside of the leaf is smooth and rubbery to touch and inside is the Aloe Vera "Gel" that is so highly regarded. The gel appears to contain a "WOUND HORMONE" that accelerates the rates of healing of injured surfaces. Scientists have found that the Aloe Vera "GEL" is a diverse mixture of ANTIBIOTIC, ASTRINGENT, COAGULATING AGENT, PAIN INHIBITOR, CELL GROWTH STIMULATOR and SCAR INHIBITOR.

Today the reputation of this remarkable plant continues to grow. It is used by millions of people around the world for both external applications and internal use. This gel, usually cold pressed from the leaves is now made into a variety of popular tonic remedies promoted as energy restoratives and pick-me-ups, which contains all of the vitamins, minerals, amino acids and enzymes found in the Aloe Vera Juice and Gel.

It is also added to healing creams and after sun preparations.

Forever Living Products is the world’s foremost grower, processor and distributor of Aloe Vera products. They were the first company in the world to receive the International Aloe Science Council Seal of Approval, a confirmation of excellence.

They also have a complete money-back guarantee on all our products, definetyly a first!

Aloe Vera is Non Toxic - it is not a drug - it is not a medicine - and is not intended to replace any drugs or medicine - but documents and experiences show that when people use a product or drink the juice - for whatever reason; Aloe Vera works.
